Unfortunately, the gun itself is quite heavy and has a long reload time. The G3SG1 is also equipped with an advanced scope, typical of sniper rifles. On top of that, the weapon offers a magazine of 20 rounds, and a large reserve of 90 rounds. It is actually able to strike a kill with just two hits, plus a shot to the head is always deadly.
The official description of the G3SG1 states that it “lowers movement speed considerably but compensates with a higher rate of fire than other sniper rifles”. The company introduced the original at the end of the 1950s and it has been in use ever since. The weapon is modeled after the Gewehr 3 produced by German firearms manufacturer Heckler & Koch. It is used by both Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist teams. The G3SG1 is one of the few automatic sniper rifles available in Counter Strike series.
